The Do Good Advertising Newsletter - February 2007 |

|
Hope 2007 is treating you well. The New Year has certainly started well for us, with some interesting projects to work on and some very positive meetings.
The encouraging feedback we received when we first started Do Good Advertising last year is now leading to working relationships.
We are determined to prove you can run an ethical business in the advertising sector and be very successful. Well, that’s the plan. So if you would like to help us on our mission, please get in touch.
And here’s to a greener, healthier, happier 2007. |
Quarriers
Quarriers is one of Scotland’s largest charities. We have been asked to create an awareness campaign to appear on bus backs. These are good people doing great work. www.quarriers.org.uk

Nil By Mouth
Working together with Alan O’Hagan Advertising we have created and produced two provocative campaigns for the anti-sectarian organisation. As posters and postcards, the ads will appear in schools, football grounds and other public areas.

You can find out more about Nil By Mouth by visiting their
website.
Also you can see more samples of posters we produced for Nil By
Mouth in our portfolio |

Paths To Health
The folks at Paths to Heath are very pleased with our recently finished job. Development Officer, Lizzy Whitehead said;
"The new materials are going down a storm."
We designed and produced three training manuals, posters and certificates to help in the promotion and training of walk leaders. We look forward to working again soon with this fantastic organisation.
You can find out more about Paths to Health on their website: www.pathstohealth.org.uk

Solar Hi-Fi buff
Richard has been building a small PV (Photovoltaic) system which powers his home Hi-Fi from the sun. Hardly going to change the world! but it does give him a warm cuddly feeling inside when listening to Led Zeppelin knowing that it is powered entirely by the Glasgow sun.
Richard started the project in Jan 2005 knowing nothing about solar energy. Now he knows his voltage from his amperage and is looking forward to getting his hands dirty with a bigger system that can perhaps help power his laptop or some lighting.

Go Green Bags
We have established a relationship with one of the UK’s leading producers of reusable shopping bags, and are looking forward to working together at some point in the future.

Watch This Space
We’ve had very positive contacts made with some great people including SWAG, Dear Green Place, Sustrans Scotland, Children 1st and Ramblers Scotland to name but a few. Fingers crossed! |
The
Scottish
Seabird
Centre
We recently had our first meeting with one of the ‘leading lights’ in sustainable tourism. With a view to working together soon, we are very excited about building a working relationship with this forward-thinking organisation.

An Clachan. A new Cafe in Kelvingrove Park.
We have been commissioned to design the branding for an organic, fairtrade café to be opened this spring in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow. To the left is a preview of our new logo design.
In fact our office looks directly onto the proposed site – so get those fairtrade lattes ready! |
